Product Description Why bother getting a separate scanner, fax machine, copier and printer and wasting your valuable space? Just get the HP Photosmart C7280 WiFi All-In-One Printer.

| Customer Reviews: Good for Awhile September 4, 2010 mep (Oak Park, IL) I liked this printer (and it's predecessor with the 02 ink cartridges) because each color is in it's own cartridge. Because the predecessor only lasted 2 years before the power supply went screwy, when I got the C7280 I also got a UPS with surge suppression and power conditioning for my computer and the printer. End result, I got an additional year because now, 3 years later, this printer is having the same power supply failures as the old one. Did not buy it from Amazon. No fault of theirs.
I was able to configure black as the default print through Printers and Faxes in XP. Printed two sided without problem. Really liked being able to scan to .pdf. Makes the fax obsolete. Didn't have the technical issues others reported. It just seems to be a weakness in electrical design or something.
Also, for future reference, HP Chat support is free.
The worst printer I've ever owned. DO NOT BUY! August 30, 2010 Sarah Thompson This printer is a disaster! The paper jams about every third print job. This requires taking the machine apart to remove the paper. It will then keep jamming until you take it apart and clean it. Obviously if you print more than once a month, you spend most of your time cleaning the printer and clearing paper jams.
The printer also WILL NOT print in black and white. Your only option is color. And if one of the color cartridges is empty, it refuses to print even if you're printing a black and white printer.
As soon as my new printer arrives, I'm dumping this in the trash. Although it works, it's such a disaster I wouldn't feel right even giving it to someone.
I would not waste my money on this printer July 13, 2010 jesse montenegro (MUNSTER, IN, US) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased the HP Photosmart 1 year and 5 months ago. There was a paper jam, I carefully removed the paper. I then tried to print and received an error message "ink system failure" message code Oxc05d1281. I looked in the manual but could not find a definition to the code. I called Hp support. They told me they could not help me since my printer was out of warranty I could pay $65 dollars for a 1 year of support, $35 for a 1 time support or $50 credit towards the purchase of a new HP printer. They would not give me an explanation for the code. I emailed customer support later that day expressing my dissatisfaction with the HP printer and support. They referred me to a case manager. When they called me back the gave me the meaning of the error message. The printer was no longer any good. I most certainly would not recommend this prduct unless your seeking an expensive disposible printer.
